Pellehan and Hartwaker

Pellehan is the black one. He is missing an eye, having lost it in battle. He is one of Douglas's wolf manticores. He is, and Otker the Beastmaster would agree with me here, a vicious brute. I had far too much fun drawing his teeth.

Hartwaker is the grey and black one. He is not missing any body parts. He is one of the pack and does not belong to anyone in particular. He is much younger than Pellehan, with less experience in battle and less of a mane. The perspective on him is buggered.

They both live at Tantalon Castle, where they are looked after by Otker and his assistant Enbarr. All of the wolf manticores who are fit to walk alone - that is to say, females who aren't nursing, adolescents who are out of cubhood, and all of the adult males who aren't injured - are used for hunting and warfare.
