Weird stuff happens around Thom. The classical goddess of discord deciding to move in is only the latest in a long line of unconventional housemates.

Fortunately, Thom has gained considerable experience dealing with recalcitrant or eccentric gods, and has picked up a few tricks along the way. When the god in question really only has power if you rise to her bait, ignoring her is really the best way to handle her.

Unconventional housemates are the best housemates. Sure, with this one things have a tendency to devolve into chaos, but least there's never a dull moment!

Can everyday people see Eris' wings and all, and if so, do they care? Because the sight of an ancient winged goddess bicycling down the street would enough to freak me out. XD

...Is Thom Tumbling over there?

People who've spent a prolonged amount of time in Thom's company can; her weirdness-attracting field is a little contagious. But if they've spent a prolonged amount of time in Thom's company, they're probably pretty jaded towards weird things anyway; she was more-or-less raised by a gryphon, after all.

It's certainly a diverse one. Not counting the people who are essentially aspects of Thom herself (i.e. Malefic and Serrapha, the manifestations of her id and ego, and Horatio, her sort-of dæmon), it consists of:
- Thom's father, stepmother and little sister.
- Flix.
- Sanston.
- Cally.
- Sarkany.
- Plus a few off-worlder friends, such as Wygar and Faen.

Of course it's diverse! Everything in your universes is diverse. They just go on and on in all sorts of unexpected and diverse ways. XD

Someday I really must get you to sit down and explain this universe to me. I get the feeling the more I try to put it together on my own, the more confused I'll get.

Thom's world is more of my 'for fun' universe than anything else; I kind of use it as a fun way to tie the more serious ones together in a behind-the-scenes sort of way. Long story short (there's a fair bit of backstory), Thom's powers work on the idea that 'everything happens somewhere', so she can hop between parallel universes at will, even the ones we think are fictional, and take people and things between the worlds. She likes to explain it as "You know how His Dark Materials is all about world-hopping? Yeah? Well, I can do what Will does, except I don't need to cut a door; I can just walk through the wall." Her explanation falls a little flat if the person she's talking to has not, in fact, read His Dark Materials.
