"Is it too small?"
"No, I'd say it's exactly the right size for a wizard as new as you."

Remembering the incident in his teenage years when Wygar almost burned his own hands off, he became a little bit neurotic about making sure that his daughter could keep her own wizardly powers under control when they manifested at the unusually early age of four. Because when a small child can conjure fire at will, you want to be damn sure that she knows what she's doing.

Certain unkind people in their home city cast doubts on Una's true paternity when she was born, since she's much darker than either of her parents. Wygar angrily pointed out that she's clearly inherited his hair and ears (though the ears are tempered somewhat by her mother's blood) and had to be held back from punching one of these people. Her skin is about halfway between Wygar's and what Fayn's would be without her albinism. I actually emailed NOAH to ask if this was possible, since I hadn't been able to find the answer on any webpages, and the person who replied told me that it was.

I'm quite happy with how this turned out. I think it's pretty cute.
