Dragon Comparison

I felt like doing a little side-by-side thing for Sarkany and his siblings, but ended up just doing their heads and a little sketch-figure for their whole bodies, because it's surprisingly difficult to draw Merioc and fit all of her on one page of A4.

If we compare them all to different animals, Sarkany's a lion and a hawk. He's a good all-rounder; what the dragons call a 'fighter', being a decent hunter, flyer and fire-breather but not really able to specialise in anything but battle.

Arthgen's a bear and a finch. His heavyset, barrel-chested build and short, round wings mean that he can only fly for short bursts, but he can keep moving on the ground almost indefinitely. His deep chest contains a massive lung capacity, making him an excellent fire-breather, and his short muzzle and round face give him a bite force that a T. rex would envy.

Merioc's a ferret and an albatross. Her relatively short legs make her ungainly and waddling on the ground, only capable of short-distance sprints if she really has to run, but her massive wingspan and slender, lightweight build make her a flyer without equal.
