Der Panzergreif

This is the Panzergreif, also a character from that story. He is horribly insecure, because he hatched with underdeveloped wings. He had them amputated when he reached his full growth and, well, turned himself into a walking tank, with the help of a local blacksmith.
The cuirass alone weighs almost 10 kilos (about 22 pounds). The full suit is too heavy for something without half-magical gryphon strength to wear. Even Panzer had to wear a weighted harness before the armour was finished, to accustom himself to the weight. He only takes it off to hunt, and as he is used to carrying such a weight, he is very fast without it.

' Panzergreif' is obviously a name he gave himself. He doesn't tell people the name his parents gave him, and may well have forgotten it.
